Why should I take part in YSE?

YSE presets a unique opportunity to learn about the challenges faced by those living in absolute poverty in an interactive and engaging way. You will learn about effective development techniques and will be able to think creatively whilst putting your problem solving skills to the test. By working in a team, pitching your idea to large audiences and balancing your time between different responsibilities, you will develop a vast array of skills that will undoubtedly impress any university or prospective employer. You will also have the chance to win a trip to the United Nations in Geneva amongst other great prizes.

I am worried taking part in YSE will impact my exams, any advice?

YSE 2022 is running from November until the end of April. We appreciate some students have exams in May but we are expecting for the Final Pitch to take place before then. We would stress that it is the first two rounds which require the most effort and you should not require too much time to prepare for the Final Pitch. If you have any further concerns please contact us at connect.yse@gmail.com.

When is the deadline to sign up?

The deadline to sign up is 20th February 2022. Please note that this is also the deadline to submit your Project Proposal Form so we would strongly advise you to sign up a few weeks before the deadline.
